A Day in Savannah
I am happy to report that we survived the alligators. Actually did not see one until it was time to leave and it was on the other side of the lake. After the sighting we loaded up the car for a quick 20 minute drive into Savannah. Trolley Tour tickets in hand, we were ready to see the city. Once we loaded the trolley, the tour guide began telling us the history of the city. What is nice about these tours is you can hop on/off at various points along the way. See an area of the city that you want to see more of, hop off and come back to the stop when you are ready to continue. The cost for the four of us was $83.00. I am glad we did it as it saved a lot of time walking. The city covers a lot of ground and this was a great way to see it in one day. The city is comprised of squares. I believe they said the original design was to have 24 of them and the current city has 22 of them. Lots of historical sites, gift shops and places to eat await you in this beautiful city.
